Furcadia Name: Ayla Titus

Character Name: Ayla Toulotte

Aliases: Ayla Titus (Known name)

Species: Wolfdog

Subspecies/Race/Class: Grey wolf/Malamute mix

Age: 39

Gender:
Female

Height: 8 foot even

Fur/Skin Color: White

Hair Color/Style: White/Headfur

Eye Color: Green

Markings/Scars: Deep scar from the bridge of her snout to under her left eye

Appendages: 2 legs, 2 arms and a tail, all paws where they're supposed to be

Demeanor: Brash, arrogant, blunt, angry, sadistic or any combination of the five. She only finds joy in dominance, pursuing her own selfish desires and having no qualms about sending others to their doom to fulfill those desires.

Alignment: Neutral Evil

Profession: Mercenary Captain
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Resistances:
Enchanted artifacts - Taken from various bounty hunters over the years, Ayla has accumulated an impressive collection of artifacts to help protect her from harm. Though Ayla herself cannot stand magic, she recognizes the merits of having a little extra help.

Pain tolerance - Brutal physical conditioning and years of internal competition among other bandits has given her a greater tolerance to pain than your average creature. She is not impervious, she can definitely get hurt. However she has a much stronger will to soldier on through it and keep up the fight.

Rage junkie - Ayla is an incredibly hostile person, and enjoys being said person. While perfectly capable of civility, she uses this to demand obedience as well as intimidate foes.

Weaknesses:
Magic - Ayla is a big brute, but has no magical ability of her own. She relies on artifacts to protect her from these powerful forces, lest she succumb to them all too easily.

Rage junkie - "Let us taunt it! It may become so cross that it'll make a mistake!" - Sir Lancelot
Her anger issues are both a blessing and a curse for someone of her station. If she gets angry enough, she may fall into a senseless, blind rage, all planning or forethought being abandoned in place of a burning desire to flatten whatever has her pissed off.

Her size - She's a big girl. Though she's got a long stride, it's harder for her to reach her top speed should she have to chase something down, and she isn't very maneuverable. She can't fit through tight spaces, or crowded areas like woods or tightly-packed buildings. Running from the Warboss is a very viable option.

Phobias:
Vulnerability - Ayla tries her best to be the strongest in all aspects of her life. While that's not entirely possible, she tries either way. She hates the feeling of being inadequate or weak, to the point where she is actually deathly afraid of the thought of being so. If her artifacts, her armor or her own physical strength were to fail her, she may go into a panic. But, beware: you never know what a cornered beast might do.

Statistics: Roll 4D6 drop lowest, reroll 1s
Total: 84
Strength (STR): 18
Dexterity (DEX): 14
Constitution (CON): 16
Intelligence (INT): 10
Wisdom (WIS): 13
Charisma (CHA): 13

Details:

Weapons
- Marauder's Fists - Her gauntlets are reinforced with one-inch spikes along all of her knuckles, giving her already brutal fists significantly more killing power.
- Marauder's Kneecaps - The kneecaps of her greaves are reinforced with metal spikes, all measuring about 6 inches in length. Upon the right knee is a human skull impaled upon said spikes.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
- Ceramic grenades - As a crowd control measure, Ayla may carry a bandoleer of ceramic grenades on her person. These black powder explosives will shatter the thick ceramic shell upon bursting, throwing shards in all directions.

Armor

- Iron armor - In desperate need of an upgrade, Ayla's gauntlets, greaves and chestplate have all been through many battles. Having been soaked in their fair share of blood, there is a bit of rust to compliment the various dings and scratches upon the surface of the metal. Why not just get new armor?

Trinkets
Info: Ayla has collected several magical trinkets from more magic-oriented bounty hunters over the years. Some have seen better days and have already used up some of their power, though all are still useful to the Warboss. Should these objects run out of power or their stones are destroyed, it will be incredibly difficult for her to get them in working order again unless she is supplied with new ones.
Shroud of the Savior - An enchanted cape that deflects metal traveling at high velocity. Metal-tipped bolts and arrows, and of course bullets. The cape is chained to a stone tablet on her belt, and contained within this tome is the crystal giving the cape its defensive ability. This item, however, has tremendous limitation. The stone gives it only a limited charge, as it takes a lot of power to prevent objects traveling so fast to penetrate a barrier. Arrows and bolts can be deflected twice, bullets only once, before the stone is destroyed and a new one must be acquired.

Feline's Folly - An enchanted amulet that grants the wearer 9 lives. You know, like a cat! Upon the user's death, the amulet will activate and reverse the killing blow, mending the wound and reviving the user. However the amulet does not bring the deceased to safety, relying on the mortally wounded to escape before succumbing to their wounds if they want to avoid just being killed again. The amulet is, of course, only good for 9 charges, the stones giving it this ability bursting upon activation. Ayla's amulet only has 4 stones remaining. Its previous owner had to run out of luck sometime.

Voidstone - An embedded stone in her chestplate that gives her a mana void feat, absorbing magical force to protect her from offensive spells. However, should this stone absorb too much mana, it will result in a magical explosion due to overload, dealing tremendous damage to the unfortunate Warboss. This protection does nothing to counter magical manipulation of objects or summoned creatures. Needless to say, once the stone explodes it will be gone forever.

Abilities
(Natural)
- Strength - Ayla is... very big. And very strong. She has conditioned her body to become as strong as she possibly can, and has to do all she can to maintain her physical prowess. But, constant maintenance gives her a powerful edge in combat, her fists having a level of lethality impossible for smaller creatures without help. She is able to perform feats of strength that would take two or even three average sized people.
- Zeal - Ayla can power through injury and loss to keep up the fight, every wound and every party member loss giving her a greater will to fight than she had before.
- Extortion - Ayla's a big bully, plain and simple. It's easy for her to take advantage of people and make demands.

(Learned)
- OORAH! - Ayla can rally those around her to fight harder, her warcry giving a morale boost to all mercenaries/bandits around her and preventing retreat.
- I CAST FIST! - Ayla can focus all of her might into a single deadly, armor-ignoring punch, though there is a great chance of self-injury.
- Grappling - Ayla is deadly in a stand-up fight, though taking her to the ground may not be the best idea either. Folding up her foes like a pretzel and listening to the bones crack, or just squeezing the life out of them fill her with a strange amount of joy.
- Brawling - Ayla is a fist-fighter through and through. She'll outright refuse to use hand-held weaponry and instead chooses to stick with her own armored hands. She finds it incredibly satisfying to rip swords, maces, spears or what have you out of her opponents hands and defeating them in an good, old-fashioned, one-sided brutal and bloody beatdown. If they're not a red paste on the ground by the time she's finished, they'll probably wish they were.

Brief history:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Psychological analysis:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Appearance
> The Titan Boss. This 8 foot wolf towers over even the tallest of her fellow mercenaries, and has the mass to match to make her quite the force to behold indeed. Her armor is old and worn, though savage in its construction. Knuckles and knees are reinforced with metal plates and spikes, and her chest containing her precious organs shielded by a rusty iron breastplate. The large jacket around her betrays a former life of a military officer of some sort, though it's unclear exactly where from her service hails... Or just what kind of soldier she was. Though a fighter she certainly is, the rugged leader of Basilisk Company bearing no weapons but her brutal fists.

Any other pertinent info:
This character was originally designed to be a boss encounter for the bandits, and she still is. However after a few changes to the overall plot thanks to the help and advice of other players I may be making her a bit more socially involved than I originally intended. I do not plan to use her often in player vs player combat, however the possibility always exists.

That being said, I know a lot of aspects of her character may be incredibly overpowered. The artifacts she carries, some of her abilities, things of that nature. I would very much desire an admin to look over this sheet and please advise if anything needs to be changed.

For the record, in case it's needed, I consent to the mention of Jack and the described relationship in the application

I remember her!

I also remember that my RP ability was... way below par in my opinion at the time xD We'll have to RP sometime for old time's sake!

That would be an insane but very welcome coincidence if it is! I just recently recovered the ini file, and I remember I stopped playing him after life got real crazy real quick.

Who did you play as that you might remember his as, if you don't mind my asking?

Character Sheets / Jack Hartz [Alt]
« on: February 21, 2017, 09:32:09 PM »
Furcadia Name: Jack Hartz

Character Name: Jack Hartz

Aliases: Goldilocks

Species: Vulpine

Subspecies/Race/Class: Cross Fox

Age: 29

Gender: Male

Height: 6'1"

Fur/Skin Color: Black and Amber

Hair Color/Style: Black hair, worn long with a part

Eye Color: Amethyst

Markings/Scars: None

Appendages: Two arms, two legs and a tail. All 100% stock

Demeanor: Jack is, by his nature, retentive. His history of scouting and frontline fighting has given him some strategic insight as well as having an eye for detail. As far as his social self, he is fairly blunt. His life as a soldier and guardian of life takes precedence, to him, over debauchery and merriment. Of course, that doesn't mean he's incapable. Now that his service has for the most part been swept up from under him, he may have to find a new way.

Alignment: Lawful Good

Profession: Dragon Knight (Former/Self-Proclaimed)

Resistances: Jack has mentally reinforced himself to be more resistant to the control of others. It has also helped to strengthen his innate abilities as well as the bond he shares with his mount.

Weaknesses: As a Dragon Knight, Jack shares a strong telepathic bond with his mount so the two can consistently perform as one fluid machine. Should this bond be broken, it will take away from their combat effectiveness quite a bit. It would also go without saying that without his mount he is significantly easier to deal with.

Phobias: He doesn't afraid of anything. Well, not seriously. He's afraid of being eaten, being surrounded by sharp things, falling and hitting the ground from high heights, the usual.

Statistics:
Strength (STR): Avg.
Dexterity (DEX): Avg.
Constitution (CON): Avg.
Intelligence (INT): Avg.
Wisdom (WIS): Avg.
Charisma (CHA): Avg.

Details:
Weapons
- Halberd - A deadly combination of spear and axe, Jack prefers to utilize this weapon both from his mount and on foot.
- Short Sword - His backup weapon, nothing overly impressive.

Armor
-Dragonguard armor - The only piece of the Dragonguard he is still grateful to have. Consisting of a steel plate cuirass, shoulder pauldrons, wrist and shin guards, as well as a custom-smithed helmet to match his vulpine visage. The armor set is gilded, a show of status by members of the Eternal King's elite guard. Though now that he is far from his former King, it just looks nice that way.
- Chain mail - Your average steel-link chain mail worn under his armor for additional protection
- Locket - A silver locket, bearing the name "Mary". It is incredibly sentimental to him, as it is the only reminder of his long-lost wife Marigold.

Abilities
(Natural)
- Telepathy - Through his training to be a Dragon Knight, Jack has learned to bond himself telepathically to his mount, allowing for the two to operate as one cohesive unit. In addition to his bonding ability, only in a very limited capacity can he gaze into the minds o others, though this is particularly exhausting and easy to repel. It is not an ability he makes use of.
- Psychokinesis - Through the development of his mental abilities, Jack is capable of mentally projecting his influence in order to physically manipulate objects. This is restricted to objects he would otherwise have the actual physical ability to hold or move, as opposed to being able to pick up, move, or throw objects or people several times his weight.

(Learned)
- Dragon Riding - Self explanatory. Jack, through training and conditioning, is as comfortable soaring through the sky and engaging his foes on the back of a dragon as one would be on a horse.
- Halberd proficiency - With it's pointed head, cleaving blade, hooked beak and buttspike on the shaft, he is hard-pressed to find himself wanting in an engagement. An incredibly versatile weapon, his training reflects his ability to utilize it in all forms, be it as a spear, an axe or a staff. He does not neglect one functional piece over the other, only making him far deadlier in a close-up fight.
- Sword fighing - While he's not nearly as comfortable with a sword as he is with a halberd, not having a backup weapon is a recipe for disaster. His sword fighting training has a much stronger emphasis on defense than offense, looking to create openings to parry and escape rather than continue to engage.

Appearance
> The Cross Fox's very fur flowed like a majestic blaze of reds and blacks, shrouded in the gilded armor of his former station among the tyrannical Dragonguard. Now free from the Eternal King's command, he attempts to find good purpose among those who have welcomed him to this new place on the other side of the rift. Though in the few months he has called this place home, he has become rather lax. The sheen on his armor is gone, and he is far more lackadaisical in his daily doings. The only part of the fox kept in top shape is the halberd he claims for a weapon, a dastardly combination of staff, spear and axe. It is kept ever sharp and ready, though he hopes to wield it for a more worthy cause.

Any other pertinent info:
6/22/17 - Sarnor Blackscale, Jack's mount, is now around! However, her player doesn't have as open a schedule as I do. Unfortunate, but that's life.

Character Sheets / Diane D'Arigo

A little about my previous experience:
I've been RPing on and off for about 10 years on Furcadia, primarily within Dragonlands dreams, however just having an active group is enough for me! Other than that, I've RPed on several forums following several different continuities and time periods. During this time I'd like to think my skills as a player have improved significantly, though having just recently returned from a long hiatus, I know I may be a bit rusty. BUT, you never stop learning, and never stop improving.

Why I'd like to join:
This is an active group! I'm very happy to see that there's a fantasy-genre dream that's still very much alive, and I really want to jump back into the game as soon as possible! I also recognize a couple of players I used to have some interaction with, and I know they wouldn't be around if this group wasn't any fun.

I HAVE submitted an application in the past, but it was as a guest and it seemed to be erased. No matter, though! I think I'd rather throw in someone fresh rather than continue an old character. New beginnings are fun!

Furcadia Name: Diane D'Arigo
Character Name: Diane D'Arigo
Aliases: Didi, Mutt
Species: Canine - Dog
Subspecies/Race/Class: Golden Retriever
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Height: 70 inches
Fur/Skin Color: Blonde
Hair Color/Style: Blonde/Her hair is tied back in a knotted fauxhawk, the excess hanging by her upper back
Eye Color: Brown
Markings/Scars: A deep scar stretches over her belly, evidence of a near evisceration during her short stint of piracy
Appendages: Everything is original as advertised, except for her left arm from the elbow down. It had been severed by a wendigo during an escort mission, the girl being less that prepared for such a foe. It is now replaced with a prosthetic magitech arm, constructed from the parts of a clockwork dragon she had helped defeat several months prior to the incident. She had done her best to get her arm the same golden color as her fur without it getting too heavy.

Demeanor: Excitable, eager. She has a lot to learn and a lot to experience.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Profession:
Wandering Privateer (Former)
Harbinger Pirate (Former)
Rose Ranger (Current)

Resistances:
Men - She enjoys playing hard to get, and finds that it can even be profitable. Even if she doesn't consider herself to be a goddess of femininity, she knows there's always going to be some thirsty buggers out there.

The Elements - Be they natural or magical, her typical wardrobe of a heavy Sky Whale leather coat gives her some minor resistances to both cold and heat.

Weaknesses:
Adventure/wealth - She left her parents to pursue adventure and fortune, though of course she's not gutsy enough to break the law. At least not yet. Other than that, there's her water problem... She's a very weak swimmer. She's no iron duck, but she's not exactly proficient either. She's able to tread water for several minutes, or even swim a short distance, but a doggie paddle will only get you so far so quickly.

Phobias:
-Mild arachnophobia. If it's bigger than her thumb, forget it. She's out. See you later.
-Wendigos. She isn't sure if there's a phobia word for it, but after her fateful encounter that resulted in her becoming an amputee, she's terrified of them.

Statistics:
Strength (STR): Low
Dexterity (DEX): Average
Constitution (CON): Average
Intelligence (INT): Average
Wisdom (WIS): Average
Charisma (CHA): High

Details:
Weapons
- Rusty Flintlock - It was her father's. He'll probably want it back if he ever finds out where she's run off to. Though rusted to hell, it was probably quite nice at one point. It sports a single steel barrel, the pistol boasting old, silver inlays and a heart-shaped butt. Much like it's new owner. It appears to be in firing condition, though one has to judge how reliable it is in its current condition. This is likely an heirloom that she took for herself as a stand-in until she can afford a proper firearm.

-Doglock Flintlock - A private purchase to compliment the one she stole from her father. It's unremarkable in its construction, though she hopes to change that with monster hunting. Adding a personal touch with the remains of particularly tough creatures is a great way to carry weapons AND trophies.

-Leaf Blade - A gift. She's not very good with it, but she strives to learn proper swordsmanship so she can at least protect herself should her guns fail her. Abandoned

-Flamberge - A very overt and almost ceremonial-looking sword, its wavy blade patter is not something she's used to, but is learning more and more about it every day. She already knows it is leagues above a normal straight blade as a stabbing instrument, and can cause quite a bit of disruption to an opponent when using it to block.

-Magitech arm - After a run-in with a wendigo gone sour, Diane now has a prosthetic fist. She can hardly believe it herself sometimes, and still needs to get used to manipulating objects and the actual function of the arm. Not having textile response from the new limb makes things hard, but not impossible. In combat, having a metal fist is a clear advantage.

Armor
- Armor - Skywhale Longcoat - Constructed from the heavy leather taken from the hunted Skywhale, it provides greater protection than traditional, thinner leather. In addition to protection from projectile and melee attack, it also offers a natural protection from the elements. It is well insulated and resistant to both frost and fire, though only to a minor degree on both accounts.

- Trinkets - A simple leather collar sits latched to her neck, given to her by her dearest friend: Zyla

Abilities
(Natural)

- Silver Tongue - Being the daughter of two businessfolk, she knows how to strike a deal. She's an incredibly shrewd barterer, and will often poke holes in her opponent's offer to get the best possible outcome for herself. She's not quite at the point of getting folks to give her things for free, but she's getting there! One angry merchant at a time.

- Not much else - Uh... She can whistle really good?

(Learned)
- Intermediate Swimming - She's learning! Though admittedly the winter has made it a little harder. It's difficult to do drown-proof training when you're worried about going into shock. In the meantime, she's learned a few survival strokes that will take her a fair distance expending minimal energy, and she can tread water for a good while now. The only thing she lacks is speed, but that will come with practice.

- Firearms Handling - She's self-taught. She's no markswoman, but she knows enough to load a pistol on her own, how to keep it operable and, most importantly, to point the end that goes 'boom' away from her face.

- Sailing - She's quite prideful of her learned ability to help out on a ship! She can clear the scuppers, trim the mainsail, free the yardarm! She's even confident enough in her skill that she once called another sailor a useless lubber! It didn't go over well.

-Literacy - Thanks to Hasheen, Diane can now read and write! She's thankful for this gift and constantly strives to improve her literary skillset.

-Wilderness Survival - Her time with the Rangers has given her the tools to survive on her own. How to provide herself fresh water, good places to hunt for protein, and constructing makeshift shelters.

-Dungeon Crawling - The devil is in the details! Learning to look for certain architectural signs or other indicators of a potential trap gives her an edge when tackling ancient ruins, this this skill is still a bit unhoned, and she has much to learn.

-Mapmaking - Her newfound literacy and her time on the sea has provided her a new love in life: Cartography! She has already mapped out a recently uncharted island for the Rangers and hopes for many more to come!

-Basic Archery - Before the accident, she may has been showing some progress! Though now, it's back to square one.

-Basic Swordsmanship - Pretty much the same as above.

Medical notes
-Left arm has been amputated from the elbow down and replaced with a magitech prosthetic
-Recovering alcoholic, alcoholism stemming from trauma suffered during her stay with the Harbinger. Further psychological trauma, like the Wendigo attack, may cause a relapse.

Appearance
> Re-armed! The retriever has been dealt an unfortunate hand during her travels, but steadily improving. First she struggled to find a place in this new world. Then she struggled with alcoholism. But now her life as an amputee is no more! Where the stump once was, she now sports a fetching and fierce gilded magitech arm! It was going to take some getting used to, its movements twitchy and rough. Her attire hasn't changed much, those same leggings and shirt ever present. Did she have other outfits? Only difference was the thick Sky Whale leather longcoat she wore, sans sleeves and tied off at the waist with a red sash.

Any other pertinent info:
It's been awhile since I've done a bare-bones, from-the-ground-up character, and I'm very excited to do so! She's literally starting with nothing, and that's exciting! If any edits need to be made, or anything needing further clarification, please let me know and I'll be more than happy to do so.
