Welcome to Thoth's Quill!

Shop Hours:
 Monday - Saturday: 8am - 9pm.
 Sunday: Closed

Proprieter: Lunar Matthias

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Upon entering the shop from the staircase through the Jitterbugge the scent of freshly brewed coffees collide with the scent of parchment and book bindings. Here once turning the corner, a plethora of colors meet the eye on a number of recently cleansed and refurbished shelves. Floor to ceiling, a customer may find books neatly categorized by theme and author that are new to the shop. Nothing from the past remains, everything in this shop has been freshened and made new in some form or another. Ample seating is provided for those who wish to sit and read in comfortable wing back chairs, sofas, or benches. Refreshments are allowed to be brought into the shop, and the extension of tea is always readily available. In front of the counter, a number of extra seats have been made available for those wishing to have some extra room to spread out, or simply conduct research.

Customers will find all manner of topics available to them, ranging from fiction to non-fiction. Books that are more adult related will be on the top shelf of the second book-stand reachable by the ladder. These books will not be sold to youths, on the grounds of moral reasoning.

A ledger book is available for customers to fill out and make requests for special books of anything they need, granted it not be ultra rare and impossible to find.

With the addition of books for sale, there are also various bookmarks available for a reasonable price.

The purchase of books are absolutely final, and no used books will be purchased at this time.

Please note, any magical books must be special order only for the safety of other customers, should the book have enchantments or unhealthy contents for the safety of all.

The office behind the counter, as well as everything behind the counter is for staff of Thoth's Quill only.

A little about my previous experience:
I have been playing Furcadia for probably fifteen years, and I enjoy meeting new characters, the process of character development, and the intrigue of what might be next around the corner.
Why I'd like to join:
My character seems to fit in here rather easily, and there seems to be a need for the mundane! There is a lot of research and development she can do for writing her books.

Appearance
(Furcadia Description)
A somali feline full of whims and fancies; her red velvet pelt is marbled in a smooth and silky manner that it seems quite decadent. Her black raspberry hair parted down the middle is styled with simplicity and fuss free. A single red velvet ribbon fancied up in a bow around throat hints at elegance and poise that also reads in her eclectic garments. Lime green eyes vivid in colour reflect her wide spectrum of imagination, as do her feminine features pronounced by sooted dark lashes and candy pink lips. The somali, regardless of her current state peculiar attire, she always dresses for success.

**Also if the book shop (Thoth's Scroll) is unoccupied/unowned I would like to talk to someone about making it Cecilie's office or perhaps running it. Think of all the fun book signings and events! Maybe the Jitterbugge could do a coffee special with their pumpkin spice drinks too. =)
