Greetings.
This letter is to request the commission of a metal frame for an exterior sign.
Dimensions are: 3 feet long by 2.5 feet high, a thickness of 2.5 inches. Will provide the sign itself for more accurate measurements.
Formed steel preferred, no iron. If possible, please blacken the metal. It is requested that the signs upper corners be curved for the attachment of chain so it may be hung.
At earliest convenience, I would like to meet with one of the smiths to speak in greater detail about the job.

We at the blacksmith would be more than happy to make you the sign. Feel free to bring it by anytime today or tomorrow. I will be at the forge till late in the evening both days.
Also be sure to bring the sign or at least a design for the sign. It would certainly help in making the frame fit snugly.
