Appearance (Furcadia Description): Pale skin of a creamy color seemed to resist any tanning effect even if the elf spent quite a bit of time outdoors while traveling. Black hair carried tints of blue, the short mop reached to her jawline and was always askew. Gray robes were overlaid with chain mail, and she wore a metal helmet. Her shield had a symbol bearing a white dove in flight. Sturdy boots could be spotted beneath the robes. The garments and armor were utilitarian in nature, and none of the jewelry typical of Elven women could be spotted. Her large green eyes were dotted with gold and missed few details, and her small hands were often dry and rough. She almost always wore a belt with some pouches that were overflowing with bandages, scissors, salves and potions. With the way she constantly examined people and with the medical supplies she carried, it was clear that she was some sort of healer. Those attuned to such things would be able to sense divine magic, though it was still a budding ability. When traveling or adventuring, she wore her cloak and a pack.

- Ability - Feeding on sadness. This is kind of inspired by dementors, all Shadowfiends feed on a particular emotion. Erilyn feeds on sadness much like a flower basking in the sun, though, rather than trying to suck the soul out of people.

Darkness follows her according to her will, can leave a trail of what looks like shade across a large room

Can create the illusion of clothing, furniture or another object. To mortal eyes these objects look real but have no substance. More perceptive beings will think they look artificial.

Appearance

Incorporeal
Is something even there? She appeared as a long, tall shadow that blurred and shifted continually. Tall, sharp horns with spirals at the bottom were her most distinctive feature at first glance. The number of spirals and the height of her horns shifted. Pockets of empty space exist where her eyes should appear, though their shape still contorts with her emotions. A shape in the form of a spiral galaxy spins and glides over her body in a random pattern, fading in and out of view only to appear elsewhere moments later. A veritable waterfall of shadow with the appearance of hair tumbles down to her thighs, the texture smooth and silky. It's style and shape vary with her blurs and shifts, though it's length never does. One might catch the hint of goat ears among her hair. Her hands are coated with an inky shadow that shifts over her skin like flames, the condensed shadow runs past her wrists and stops at just below her elbows. Lower extremities are also coated in this shadow, which ascends past her ankles to halt under her knees. Instead of feet, she has goat hooves that are visible beyond the layer of darkness. A tail, also blanketed with shifting shadows, flits about behind her.

Physical
She was tall and willowy, with black horns that spiraled and jutted upward from her skull, accompanied by goat ears that were four or five inches long. Any shorter and they may have been lost in the thick locks of shadow that fell down past her waist to end at mid-thigh. The texture looked smooth and straight, with the hair itself often pinned back in an elegant bun. The obsidian horns, eyes and teeth did not make for a benevolent appearance. Her eyes were onyx through and through. There was no distinguishable sclera, iris or pupil, just a black orb. The cold tone of her skin, an arctic blue, went perfectly with her demeanor. Feet have replaced her hooves, both her feet and hands were still covered in the layer of twilight. An indigo band could be seen around her left wrist, and the spiral galaxy that shifted over her incorporeal form was stationary. Her tail is made of the same shadowy substance that her hair is composed of, draconic in shape and ending in a spare tip, differing from her ears and hooves.

Any other pertinent info: Erilyn is very much a WIP. I will be adding more to her abilities and her personality as time goes on. Before my hiatus from Furc, I had a full-blooded noble drow exile named Erilyn and I'm seeking to resurrect her personality in this character. I'm going to be deciding which of her abilities to develop more as I write more with her. So refinements will be made sometime.

Basically, shadowfiends are creatures that move between a state of physical being and something incorporeal. I intend on playing Erilyn as something to creep people out, something to add a morbid flavor to a roleplay. I'd be fine with her preying on others, or with her partnering with someone else, or being bound by them, to prey on others.

A little about my previous experience: I have rped on Furc on and off since I was a teenager. I also rp a lot on RPR. I'd like to do tabletop but have time constraints, plus shy.

Why I'd like to join: To have an outlet for rp, and because this seems to be the most populated dream in the Imaginarium that has a fantasy setting.

Disguise: allows her to disguise herself as another humanoid and change the appearance of her attire for 12 hours at a time. This disguise does not hold up to physical inspection (touch.) She can change her height by one foot, taller or shorter, but she cannot change the basic arrangement of her limbs. Her steps are not heavier if she appears taller, either.
Summon Shadow: summon an undead shade that she can telepathically communicate with, that will do her bidding, for fifteen minutes.
Shadow jumping: involves moving from one shadow to another as long as it's within several meters.
Teleport: disappear and reappear directly behind her opponents back
Shadow Illusion: can create a silhouette of herself in shadows to fool people pursuing her
Uncanny Dodge: evading magical attacks (must see the attack)
Feather fall: used to survive falls from tall heights (requires a bit of a feather or some down)


Appearance


The humanoid's white and silver hair might have given the impression of a venerable age if not for her smooth skin. There was also the minor detail of the gray, bluish hue of that skin, another clue to her mixed heritage. Delicate, angular features and long, pointed ears gave further clues to just what kind of heritage it was. Her slender frame, five and a half feet tall, was wrapped in black leather armor and a violet tunic and trousers. Daggers and shortswords residing at her hips and thighs warned troublemakers away if a narrowing of her onyx eyes did not. Belts wrapped around her waist held pouches and tools, a buckler was fastened to one of the straps. One could also note a quiver hanging from the belt. A shortbow was often worn over her shoulder, and gauntlets with spikes running along the outside enclosed her palms, wrists and forearms. A mask was often pulled over her face, resting just beneath her eyes. She wore a seamless cloak with the hood pulled up much of the time, almost always seen with a pack strapped over her back since she was a nomadic creature. Her soft boots made little to no noise as she made her way through the Realms.

Any other pertinent info: Janella is a trouble maker and pretty much just a horrible person in general. Though she makes most of her money from thieving she will do dirty work such as intimidation, infiltrating or eavesdropping for money.
