Twin Drakes Archives / Vasile Vanished

The sound of hammer on steel that rang out during the day from the fighter's guild forge has mysteriously halted. It would seem the lion paladin vanished, suddenly, without obvious trace. Odder still, it would appear that all of his belongings were left at the guild. His armor, weapons, money and all else are undisturbed.

One might assume the lion got bored and moved on to his next adventure, but to leave without a proper goodbye seems out of character for those that know him.

The possibility that he may be in some kind of trouble is on the table.

Subspecies/Race/Class: Lion Paladin
Age: Mid-twenties.
Gender: Male

Fur/Skin Color: Chocolate Fur
Hair Color/Style: Golden Blonde, Very Long and Thick, Classic Lion's Mane
Eye Color: Storm Grey/Purple
Markings/Scars: None
Appendages: A tail, as per usual.

Demeanor: Pleasant, Positive, Disciplined.
Alignment: First impression is Lawful Good, but he will show his true alignment as Chaotic Good if something pushes him over the edge. By definition, he is Chaotic Good, and will absolutely shatter the law to do good if it becomes obvious such is needed. I wouldn't call him Neutral, as he doesn't flirt both ways. He's either hard Lawful or hard Chaotic.

Details:
Weapons
- Truth - Truth is a longsword with a silvered double edge. It seems to have seen -loads- of combat, and carries a magical sheen which appears to keep it from going dull very easily. It doesn't have any magical powers, per se, but is a valuable and reliable weapon.
- Faith - Faith is the shield counterpart to truth, seeming to be similarly enchanted to avoid most wear and tear. A red cross on the heavy shield's front carries... an oddly familiar design, though most don't know where to place it. https://tinyurl.com/horwz4t
Armor
- Plate Armor of Vasile - It's Vasile's plate armor. No helm, and seemingly sized for a very muscular man around six feet tall. Vasile fits into the armor perfectly.
 
Abilities
(Natural)
- Strength
Vasile's ripped. He's a very muscular cat and often seems to forget as such, flexing without even thinking about it.
- Charisma
The lion is very well spoken, and carries the ability to inspire from words, call others to action, and lift depressions by a speech. If he wasn't a paladin, he'd make a fairly good therapist.

(Learned)
- Light - Vasile can produce a light that illuminates a small area, in the shape of a ball. Works about as well as a lantern, or a weak sunrod, encompassing a five feet radius around him in bright light, then five feet in dim. '
- Detect - Can be used to identify the intentions of the target, with one of three options. Good, Neutral, or Evil. Alignment doesn't have a factor on this, it is strictly a check for the target's current intentions.
- Heal - Will, slowly, use holy magic to stitch flesh, repair wounds, and injuries, decontaminating as it goes. Does not cure diseases, poisons, curses, and magic effects. Concentration is required to keep it going, and he can only hold it at maximum for five minutes at a time before needing to take a break. Forced usage will greatly weaken Vasile. Can also be used in the form of preps, for "spike" healing.
- Purify - Specifically targets a poison, disease, curse, or magical affliction and attempts to purge it, or make it less severe. Can backfire, in some cases, and either spread through the victim, or even transfer over to the paladin.

Lay on Hands:

Vasile can lay his hands on someone to miraculously heal them of inflicted damage... once in a while. It could be an hour, a day, a week, a month, it depends on the cooldown roll as to when he can use his powerful healing ability again. This will heal just about any kind of physical damage, pending on the person he is healing. Effectively, to the player's consent, this could bring back anyone holding onto life to full health. As long as they aren't dead.

Appearance

A little about my previous experience: I've been roleplaying since middle school, like ten years. World of Warcraft, Wildstar, Knights of the Old Republic, but I first started in Furcadia and I always come back home here.

Why I'd like to join: Hors is here and we're like friends or something, so I follow him everywhere.


(Handy explanation of stats. Stats are listed further down.. this section can be removed when done.)

Strength- Offensive physical prowess (how hard you hit)
 
Constitution- Defensive physical prowess (how well you take a hit)

Dexterity- Hand-eye coordination; general reflexes; aim

Agility- How fast your body can move, nimbleness

Intelligence- Technical knowledge and skill (not street-smarts or education)

Wisdom- Generally agreed to pertain to magical aptitude

Fortitude: The way I use it encompasses Strength and Constitution, and it basically determines how well you defend against melee blows.

Reflex: Encompasses your character's Dexterity and Agility, and it reflects your ability to dodge or make quick delicate deflections during battle.

Will: This one is based off Wisdom and Intelligence, and reflects your ability to withstand magic attacks and damage from technical devices.

Details:
Weapons
- Longsword - A basic longsword is all he has on him at the moment. Nothing special about it.
Armor
- Leather Jacket Overcoat - Again, basic. Black, more suited for stealth.
- Soul Shard - That pink earring is his phylactery. Should he sustain a fatal hit, his body will vanish into it and recover for anywhere between six months to a year. It's probably how he's managed to stay alive for so long with his attitude.
 
Abilities
(Natural)
- Raw Firepower - Morg is part fire dragon, and as such he can breathe it as a breath attack. This is the most unrestrained and powerful of his attacks, and has a cooldown.
(Learned)
- Fire Magic - Over the years, he's learned how to use his fire as a sorcerer would. Manifesting can-trips and flames at the fingertips. None of these abilities are strong enough to be useful in combat under normal conditions, and despite having dragon blood he doesn't have the willpower to excel at magic, only able to harness what he has access to naturally in any shape or form.
- Leadership - Morg can take command of an army at a moment's notice and be incredibly effective in military strategy. He's read walls upon walls of tactics. He's very smart in the ways of a library, but living inside a mountain his entire life means his knowledge of the outside world is more limited than he puts on.
