Are there any particular plans for the magical sword? Does it have any stats or just a story piece right now?

As it stands right now it's just a sword no stats other then what  you'd get for a basic short sword.  My plans are basically to see if he ever manages to unlock it's powers.

After a brief talk and clarification.

The sword also named Brute at present is a mundane weapon, Tristran has no idea of it's potential. (with the proper arcana or history checks he could learn  this but doesn't poses those skills).

Brute is a weapon of legacy I used the D&D 3.5 supplement, Tome of battle book of nine swords as a reference to make it. As with other weapons of legacy it has three levels of power each requiring specific events and or actions from the wielder.

tier 1 Brute gains the force missile spell as a once per day power. (Force missile is a stronger version of magic missile.)

tier 2 Brute gains the wall of force spell as a once per day power.

tier 3 Brute gains the ability to generate an anti magic field centered on the blade once per day.

Pleas feall free to ask any other questions you may have.

How long does the anti magic field last? A round? Four?

I'd have to say like a minute, one round wouldn't be much help at all.

the only reference I have for how long a round might actually be that's roughly ten
